    Red Bull Racing had a strong Saturday in China. Max Verstappen won the sprint race, only to be joined by teammate Sergio Perez on the front row of the grid for the Formula 1 race. However, the Red Bull drivers are expecting more opposition from their rivals on Sunday than the day before.

    Lewis Hamilton will start from the 18th grid spot for the first time in his Mercedes career and vowes to do a "better job" in the Chinese Grand Prix. The seven-time World Champion made a mistake at the hairpin in the third sector during qualifying and lost a lot of time. As a result, he wasn't fast enough to escape Q1 and finds himself at the back of the grid.

    Red Bull Racing secured the full front row for the Chinese Grand Prix with Max Verstappen on pole position and Sergio Perez on P2. Fernando Alonso completed the top three. Aston Martin lodged a protest against the result of qualifying, causing Carlos Sainz to briefly fear for his seventh starting place. However, the protest was dismissed. There's a small change to the starting grid.
